A Little About Me

  • From New Zealand to California: I grew up in New Zealand, where my love for cooking and baking blossomed in the kitchen with my mom. I moved to California 12 years ago and now live with my husband and our four fur babies.
  • Passion for Travel: My husband and I love traveling and exploring new cultures and foods, adding a rich variety to my cooking style.
  • Love for Hiking: In 2021, my husband and I completed the 52 Hike Challenge, where we tackled a different hike every week of the year. It was one of the most rewarding things I’ve done, and I encourage everyone to try it.
  • Strength Sports Enthusiast: I have trained and competed in strength sports since 2017, starting with strongman and moving to powerlifting in 2019.

My Background

  • Education: I have a Bachelor of Management Studies with a double major in Tourism and Marketing from the University of Waikato.
  • Career Experience: With a strong background in hotel management, particularly in Food and Beverage, I honed my skills in event planning and catering. As the former Director of Client Service and Operations at a catering company, I have a wealth of experience in creating memorable culinary experiences.
  • Photography Enthusiast: My love for food photography started in high school and was rekindled during the pandemic. I’ve completed the Pretty Focused course, Foodtography School, and The Bite Shot Artificial Lighting courses.
