Ingredients
  

  • 1 (24 count) package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • ½ cup pink or red sparkling sugar
  • 24 chocolate hearts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to the temperature instructed on the sugar cookie package. Line two large cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Roll each cookie dough ball in the sugar until evenly coated and place on the prepared baking sheets with at least two inches between each cookie.
  • Bake the cookies according to the package directions.
  • Once the cookies are baked, immediately press a chocolate heart into the center of each cookie.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
