Instructions

  • Melt yellow candy melts according to package instructions until smooth.
  • Dip each Nutter Butter into the melted coating, using a fork to lift out and gently tap off excess.
  • Place dipped cookie on prepared tray.
  • While coating is still wet, add two yellow M&Ms for wings, one orange mini M&M for a beak, two black nonpareils for eyes, and two orange M&Ms at the bottom for feet.
  • If desired, add red mini M&Ms to the top for a comb.
  • Let cookies set completely at room temperature. Refrigeration may speed up setting but could affect the appearance of candy details.

Notes

  • Store the decorated cookies in a single layer in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. If stacking is necessary, place wax paper or parchment between layers to protect the decorations. Avoid storing in the refrigerator, as the candy coating and M&M details may become cloudy or bleed from condensation.
